We got tired of that game, so we built the opposite: a site where every guide is researched by a real person, every code is checked before it goes live, and dead deals get removed instead of left there to waste your time.
Today, Discount Thrive publishes 120+ in-depth brand guides for shoppers in 7 regions, in 5 languages. Each one answers the questions a real shopper asks before buying: does this brand actually have a working discount right now, what are the catches, and is the deal genuinely worth it?
Our Story
Discount Thrive started with a simple frustration: coupon sites that felt like graveyards of dead codes. Pages stuffed with “50% off” claims nobody had tested since 2019. We believed shoppers deserved better, so we started doing the unglamorous work ourselves: visiting brand sites, testing codes at checkout, reading the fine print, and writing honest guides about what we found.
That approach struck a chord. What began as a small English-language site now serves shoppers across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and Brazil, with guides written in English, French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese, by people who understand how shopping works in each market. Because a “code promo” in France and a “Gutscheincode” in Germany are not just translations, they are different shopping cultures, and our guides respect that.
How We Verify Every Deal
Trust is the whole business. Here is exactly how a deal earns its place on Discount Thrive:
1. Sourcing. We work directly with brands, retailers, and reputable affiliate networks to find current promotions, instead of copying codes from unverified third-party lists. If we cannot trace an offer to a legitimate source, it does not go up.
2. Testing. Where possible, we test codes ourselves or cross-check them against the retailer’s own promotions before publishing. A code that only works “sometimes” gets flagged as such, or left out entirely.
3. Review cycle. We revisit published guides on a rolling basis. Expired codes come down, changed terms get updated, and new offers get added. A guide with a 2026 date on it should read like it was written in 2026.
4. Editorial judgment. We would rather publish fewer, verified deals than flood the site with codes we have not checked. We prioritize offers with genuine value over codes that are technically live but save you almost nothing.

We disclose how we make money. Discount Thrive participates in affiliate marketing: when you buy through a link on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is how the lights stay on. But here is our line in the sand: commissions never decide which deals we cover or how we describe them. If a brand’s offer is weak, we say so, even if they pay us. We do not sell placements. Brands cannot pay to have a deal featured, ranked higher, or described more kindly. Every paid placement offer we receive gets the same answer: no.
We write for readers, not algorithms. Our guides are written to help a real person decide whether an offer is worth using. If a guide does not help you make a decision, we have failed, regardless of where it ranks.
