DJI drones, gimbals and action cameras sit at the top of most creators’ wish lists — and at the top of most budgets too. The good news is that DJI runs one of the most predictable discount rhythms in tech: seasonal price cuts, a genuine education store, and an official refurbished shelf that most shoppers never check. If you’re hunting for a DJI discount code or just the cheapest legitimate way to buy a Mini, Air or Osmo, this guide lays out every real saving route for 2026.

How DJI discounts actually work
First, the honest truth about searching for a “DJI discount code”: DJI almost never issues public, enter-at-checkout promo codes the way fashion brands do. Aggregator sites list codes like WEEKEND or SAVE40, but these are unverified third-party claims and we could not confirm a single working public code. DJI’s real savings come through a different mechanism — scheduled seasonal price cuts on the official store, education pricing, certified refurbished units, and small but stackable rewards on direct purchases.
That means the winning strategy isn’t code-hunting; it’s timing. The sections below map out exactly when those cuts land and the other legitimate ways to chip money off.
The DJI Education Store: around 10% off for students and teachers
DJI operates a dedicated Education Store offering roughly 10% off eligible products to verified students and teachers. You verify your status through DJI’s education verification flow (school email or a service like Student Beans), and the discount applies to popular lines including the Mavic, Mini and Osmo ranges.
A few caveats: the education discount typically excludes high-end professional gear such as the Inspire series, and availability varies by region — verify at checkout that your chosen model qualifies. If you’re a student buying your first serious drone, this is the easiest guaranteed discount DJI offers, and it works year-round.
DJI sale calendar: when drones actually get cheaper
DJI’s discount year has a clear rhythm. The events that matter:
Black Friday & Cyber Monday (late November)
This is DJI’s biggest predictable sale. Promotions run on the DJI store and at retailers during Black Friday week, and UK retailers such as Currys and Argos have historically cut select DJI lines — Neo, Flip, Avata 2 — by up to around half price in past events. Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. If your purchase can wait, this is the window to target.
Spring Sale (around March)
Coupon and deal trackers report a DJI Spring Sale with cuts of up to roughly 35%. It’s a smaller event than Black Friday, but it’s the first real sale of the year and a good moment for accessories and older drone stock.
Summer Sale (around July)
The mid-year sale is the second-biggest DJI-owned event, with reported discounts of up to around 50% on selected lines. Summer 2026’s pattern suggests this is when outgoing models get their deepest official cuts before autumn launches.
Amazon Prime Day events
DJI participates through Amazon’s sale events — for example, the October 2026 Prime event saw the DJI Neo discounted by around 30% via DJI’s own Amazon storefront. If you prefer Amazon’s delivery and returns, these events are worth watching.
Sale percentages above are pattern-based from prior years and deal trackers — always verify the live price at checkout, as DJI adjusts offers per event.
Certified refurbished: DJI’s official bargain shelf
Most shoppers never open DJI’s certified refurbished store, which is a shame — it’s one of the best-value ways to own DJI gear. These are official refurbished units that carry a full warranty, not grey-market repairs. Recent listings included the Neo 2 from €189, the Mini 5 Pro from €649, and the Flip Fly More Combo at €499 (prices shown in euros; UK pricing and availability may vary).
Refurbished stock is the sweet spot for current-generation performance without the launch-day price. Stock rotates, so check it before you buy new — the drone you want may already be sitting there at a meaningful discount with the same warranty.
DJI Credit, referrals and Select member perks
Three smaller programmes add up over time:
- DJI Credit: buying direct from DJI earns roughly 1% back as store credit on your purchases. It’s non-transferable and expires, but it’s free money on something you were buying anyway.
- Refer a friend: refer someone to the DJI store and they typically get around $10 off while you earn around $10 in credit. Worth using if a friend is drone-shopping too.
- DJI Select: a paid membership (reported at roughly $24–$29 a year) with accessory coupons, 50% off DJI Care Refresh, priority shipping and member-exclusive offers. Note that Select has historically been US-focused — verify current UK availability before joining.
None of these will halve the price of a Mavic, but combined with a seasonal sale they take the edge off.
Delivery and returns basics
DJI offers free standard shipping over a minimum order value on its store — the exact threshold varies by region, so confirm it at checkout. For returns, the official DJI store allows cancellation or return for any reason within 14 calendar days of delivery, with refunds issued within 7 business days to the original payment method. Products must come back in their original packaging, and for no-reason returns the customer covers the return shipping. Note that’s 14 days, not the 30 days some retailers offer — so unbox and test promptly.
6 smart ways to pay less for DJI in 2026
- Time big purchases for Black Friday week. If you can wait until late November, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window is historically DJI’s deepest discount period.
- Check the refurbished store before buying new. Certified refurbished units with full warranty regularly undercut new prices by a wide margin.
- Use the Education Store if you’re a student or teacher. Around 10% off, year-round, on eligible lines — the easiest guaranteed saving DJI offers.
- Join the newsletter. Subscribers reportedly get a welcome discount on a first purchase plus 24–48 hour early access to sales and email-only promo codes. Verify the current offer at signup.
- Collect DJI Credit on every direct purchase. The ~1% back adds up across a drone, extra batteries and Care Refresh.
- Compare authorised retailers during sales. Currys, Argos and specialist drone retailers sometimes beat DJI’s own price during Black Friday — but buying direct keeps your DJI Credit, Select eligibility and warranty chain clean.
The bottom line
DJI doesn’t do the promo-code game, but it rewards patient, informed buyers. Students and teachers get year-round education pricing, everyone gets a shot at Black Friday and summer price drops, and the certified refurbished store is the open secret of the DJI world. Pick your moment, stack the small perks, and you’ll rarely pay the sticker price.
