Halloween 2026 is one week out (Saturday, October 31), and if you still need a costume, Abracadabra NYC is one of the best places to look. The Flatiron District superstore has been selling costumes and magic supplies since 1981, stocks 50,000+ items across a 12,000 square foot multi-floor shop, and runs one of the most code friendly discount setups in the Halloween world: multiple community-verified promo codes, live BOGO offers on the site right now, and a permanent sale tab. There is no loyalty program and no student discount, so the whole game is knowing which codes actually work. Here is everything verified as of October 24, 2026.

How Abracadabra NYC Discounts Actually Work
Abracadabra NYC keeps it simple. There is no loyalty or rewards program (confirmed in their October 2026 FAQ: “all savings must be redeemed with a promo code or sale price”), no student or military discount, and no membership tiers. Every saving comes from one of three channels:
- Promo codes, one per order, applied on retail purchases only. Community checkout tests in September and October 2026 verify eight working codes right now, listed below.
- On-site deals, live on abracadabranyc.com today: Buy One Get One Free and Buy Two Get One Free on selected items, plus Buy One Get One 50% off on mugs, tees, and props.
- The Sale tab, a permanent clearance section in the site navigation with up to 50% off rotating stock, which deepens toward the end of October and right after Halloween.

Verified Abracadabra NYC Codes (October 2026)
These strings were checked against community checkout tests with dated proof (DontPayFull and SimplyCodes, October 2026). They are community tested, not store issued guarantees, so verify at checkout. Only one code works per order, so pick the deepest one that works for your cart.
- MARIMIREU — 20% off storewide. Verified with a checkout test on October 11, 2026. This is the deepest verified percentage code right now, and the one in our box above.
- BLASTOFF — 15% off the entire store. Tested October 4, 2026, with four shoppers confirming in the last 30 days.
- MAGIC15 — 15% off (marketed toward magic items, but tests show it works generally). Tested October 22, 2026, with 20 verifications. In-stock items only, cannot be combined.
- ABRAUG10 — 10% off. Tested October 22, 2026, with three shoppers confirming in the last 30 days.
- abracadabra10 — 10% off almost anything. Tested October 4, 2026, with three shoppers confirming in the last 30 days.
- GA9FV2Y — 15% off all orders. Tested October 4, 2026.
- ADYIS — 10% off storewide. Tested October 4 and October 2, 2026.
- SPRINGISINTHEAIR — 11% off your order. Tested October 4, 2026.
Reported terms: most codes are one use per customer, MAGIC15 is in-stock items only, and codes apply to retail purchases only, not the costume rental service.
Also live on the site this week (verified on the homepage, October 24, 2026): up to 80% off gifts, costumes, and collectibles (ends October 29), up to 80% off special effects (ends October 26), up to 45% off period costume headwear (ends November 3), up to 40% off circus costumes (ends November 2), up to 30% off scary masks (ends November 1), and Buy 1 Mug Get 1 50% Off.
Halloween 2026 Sale Calendar
- Right now (October 24 to 31, 2026): peak Halloween sale mode. Category deals of 10 to 80% off are expiring between October 26 and November 1, so check the end date on any category before you add to cart.
- End of October / first days of November: the biggest seasonal cuts of the year on Halloween categories, up to 40% off fancy dress and Halloween accessories, start in the final days of October and just after the holiday. Great for last-minute shoppers, but only from what is left in stock.
- January through May: per historical coupon tracking, the deepest code discounts of the year (up to 40% off) surface in the off season. Summer and autumn codes typically cap at 15 to 20%. If you plan costumes a year ahead, winter is your window.
- Black Friday / Cyber Monday / Christmas: no Abracadabra-specific offer found as of October 24, 2026. Their big seasonal moment is October; verify at checkout for any holiday party-wear sales.
Newsletter, Pro Discount & Everything That Does Not Exist
Newsletter: exists and is worth joining for email-only deals and early sale access, but no fixed welcome percentage is published by any verified source. Do not trust aggregator pages that invent a 10% welcome figure; verify at checkout.
Pro Discount: reported by SimplyCodes for approved entertainment professionals (online and in store), but the official program page could not be confirmed on the site in October 2026. Verify on their website before planning around it.
What does not exist: no loyalty or rewards program, no student discount, no military discount, no referral program. All savings flow through promo codes and sale prices.
Shipping, Pickup & the All-Sales-Final Rule
This section matters more at Abracadabra NYC than at most stores, because their returns policy is strict.
Free pickup: available at the NYC flagship (19 W 21st St, Flatiron) and the New Jersey location (1800 Route 34, Wall Township). Orders are held up to 30 days. For NYC shoppers racing the Halloween clock, same-day local delivery is also available, and pickup is the safest way to guarantee a costume arrives before October 31.
Shipping: sources conflict on the free-shipping threshold (one says free standard shipping applies automatically at checkout, another cites $100+ during seasonal events). No single threshold is published on the official site. Verify at checkout.
Returns: ALL SALES FINAL. Per the official FAQ, for quality and sanitary reasons there are no returns, refunds, or exchanges. The only exception is damaged, defective, or missing parts in transit: email info@abracadabranyc.com within 48 hours of receiving the package with photos. Try costumes on in store before buying if you can.
Payment options include major credit cards, PayPal, and Amazon Pay.
The Store Itself (for NYC Shoppers)
Abracadabra NYC is a year-round destination, not a seasonal pop-up. The flagship at 19 W 21st St, New York, NY 10010 (212-627-5194) spans 12,000 square feet over multiple floors, open all year (typical hours: Sunday 11 AM to 8 PM, Monday/Tuesday 10 AM to 9 PM, Wednesday to Saturday 11 AM to 9 PM; Halloween-season hours may run longer). Beyond costumes for adults, kids, plus-size, toddlers, and babies, the shop is a major magic supply destination and carries horror collectibles (Chucky, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Terrifier, Scream, Saw), animatronics, professional theatrical makeup and prosthetics, wigs, masks, and decor. The costume rental department runs 700+ rental costumes with custom tailoring and alteration services; rentals require a security deposit charged up front and are kept up to three days.

6 Smart Shopping Tips for Abracadabra NYC
- Pick the deepest working code, not the first one. Only one code per order, so start with MARIMIREU (20%) or MAGIC15/BLASTOFF (15%) and work down. Verify at checkout.
- Stack a code on the Sale tab. Codes work on retail purchases including sale items, so apply your code on top of already-discounted Halloween deals.
- Use the in-store BOGO offers for groups. Buy One Get One Free and Buy Two Get One Free on selected items, plus BOGO 50% off on mugs, tees, and props, are ideal for couples and family costume themes.
- Rent premium looks. With 700+ rental costumes, a one-night event does not need a $200+ purchase. Note the deposit is charged up front and rentals keep up to three days, and promo codes do not apply to rentals.
- NYC shoppers: skip shipping entirely. Order online and use free local pickup at 19 W 21st St to dodge Halloween shipping anxiety. And since all sales are final, try costumes on in store first.
- Do not sleep on post-Halloween clearance. The biggest seasonal cuts start in the final days of October and just after the 31st. Shop early for selection, shop late for price, and buy next year’s costume in January to May for the deepest code discounts of the year.
